Artist Olphaert den Otter speaks about the domain of sound compared to an infinite reservoir of silence and about the unique conditions of sound. He goes in search of the ‘Harmony of Spheres’ and, with a broad sweep, returns to the biosphere, where he tries to determine the origin of the ear.

In his paintings – often grouped in extensive series – Olphaert den Otter depicts urgent social themes. From time to time he creates animations and murals. He is also a countertenor in the Rhetoric Quartet and gives lectures on cultural and philosophical themes.
